Overview

Mustang, especially Upper Mustang (Lo Manthang), is a semi-autonomous, arid Himalayan rain-shadow region where Tibetan culture remains strongly preserved. Dramatic eroded cliffs, ancient cave dwellings, and royal walled towns create a surreal, otherworldly landscape.
