Overview

Bardia (Bardiya) National Park in western Nepal protects lowland Terai ecosystems: tall sal forests, riverine grasslands and oxbow lakes. It’s one of the country’s premier wildlife destinations for tigers, rhinos and river dolphin sightings.

Distance from Kathmandu:  ~500–530 km by road; ~1-hour flight to Nepalgunj then ~2–4 hour drive (95 km) to park.
Nearest Hub: Nepalgunj (air) / Banke.
